The World Bank's "CEO Initiative" brings together some of the leading logging companies in Africa with environmental NGOs to discuss issues related to Sustainable Forest Management. The Danzer Group is one of a handful of European logging companies which takes part in the CEO Initiative. Yet despite being part of this select group, the Danzer Group is violating key principles in forestry and law. As this report demonstrates, the Danzer Group are knowingly financing illegal loggers and bribing public officials.
