October 13th-14th: Solar Generation Philippines organized their first skillshare. Abigail Jabines, Climate Campaigner in Greenpeace Southeast Asia, was there.
Let's see what she thought about it:
"Inspired. That was how I felt after the SolarGeneration Pilipinas Skillshare last Oct. 13-14. Each member and chapter showed dedication, passion and dreams that inspired me to continue working with each other and develop more creative ideas.
There were 12 participants (1 from Bacolod, 2 from Dumaguete, 1 from Iloilo, 8 from Manila) -- each province which hosts SolarGeneration sent a representative.
The program includes lectures & workshop on campaigning, planning, lobbying and media.
Albert Lozada (SG Pilipinas Coordinator from Negros) and LJ Passion (Greenpeace volunteer) assisted me in facilitating the workshops while Jasper Inventor (Climate & Energy Campaigner) assisted with the lectures. Maan Mayo (Greenpeace volunteer) and J Sy (FR) were our personal chefs."
After these intensive days, it's sure that the youths went home exhausted but full of energy to continue the great work!
