Totem Pole tour continues

The members from Solar Generation organized a three-day long event at St. Joseph College in Bangalore to celebrate its third year of existence in the country highlighting its ongoing Global campaign to raise awareness about Global warming and to promote the use of clean sources of energy around the world.

Solar Generation-Pilipinas calls for Action

In Bacolod, Solar Generation Volunteers in St. Scholasticas Academy organized an activity in line with the Kyoto Protocol 2nd anniversary during their school Academy Day. “Our main aim and objective of this activity was to make young people aware of the real effects of climate change and to make them realize that they can do something about it”, said Mary Ann Lee, A 4th year student of St. Scholasticas Academy and an active member of Solar Generation-Pilipinas.

India's melting glaciers

On Saturday February 3rd, Solar Generation members were at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore with our 'Totem of resistance'. We screened our documentary 'India's melting glaciers' on that day as well. 'India's melting glaciers' documents the receding Himalayan glaciers and their impact on the lives of people and the economy of the country.

On January 26-29, 2007, around 43 Solar Generation Pilipinas members from Iloilo and 6 SG from Negros joined the annual, socio-cultural-religious festival of Iloilo City, the "Dinagyang Festival".

Black out Operation

Five Campuses in France (Marseille ECM, Strasbourg, Centrale Paris, Grenoble, Angers) decided to run the Black Out Operation in December 2006. The concept: during 24 hours, the students encourage all the stakeholders to avoid all the energy waste on the campus with very simple and completely free actions.
