一般社団法人グリーンピース・ジャパン（以下「グリーンピース・ジャパン」）事務局長米田祐子が、来る9月15日をもって退任することとなりました。
昨年の就任以来、米田祐子は、グリーンピース・ジャパンの活動に尽力してまいりました。グリーンピース・ジャパン理事会は、米田のこれまでの努力に感謝の意を表すとともに、今後の活躍を心から期待しています。
退任する米田祐子からのメッセージを、事務局長ブログにて掲載しております。みなさまのこれまでのご厚情に感謝申し上げます。
世界は、かつてないほど自然環境が著しく脅かされている現状にあります。私たちを取り巻く政治情勢も予断を許しません。ますます厳しい事態に対処すべく、近日中に着任する暫定事務局長の下、グリーンピース・ジャパンは今後とも努力を続けていく所存です。新事務局長の公募等につきましては、決定次第発表いたします。
日本で、また世界でグリーンピースのアクションを成功に導くには、私どもの活動を支えてくださっているみなさんのご協力がぜひとも必要です。今後ともグリーンピース・ジャパンへの変わらぬご支援を何卒よろしくお願いいたします。
“The Board has come to a mutually agreed position with the current Executive Director, Yuko Yoneda, to part ways with Greenpeace Japan, effective 15 September 2017. The Board respectfully acknowledges Yuko’s work and persistence during the last months and understands this has been a difficult journey. We wish her well. The Board is now ready to initiate the search for a new leader to lead Greenpeace in Japan, at a time when more than ever we face significant threats to the world’s environment. The many staff of GPJ, its volunteers, supporters, donors and partners have a critical role to ensure the future success of Greenpeace’s efforts in Japan and globally, and the board welcomes their participation in the upcoming ED search process.”
