We've hit the 100,000 plus figure and you can look above to see how high it is now (and growing). It's around three months ago since we launched the Sign On campaign at Lucy Lawless' place, so 100,000 in three months isn't too bad.

In fact, it's more than 2% of the whole NZ population which, per capita, is equivilent to 1.5 million Brits, 28 million Indians or 32 Million Chinese!

This morning here at the Greenpeace (Sign ON ) HQ in Auckland we all took a moment for a short celebration and crakcked a bottle of Champagne. We wish all 100,000 people who've Signed On could join us but our kitchen's a little small.

However, we have a long way to go and the climate science still screams 'URGENT!'. The whole point of the Sign On campaign is to demonstrate there is  massive public support for John Key to do the right thing in Copenhagen. 100,000 is great but we need more, lots more, in the next 100 days till the conference begins.

We always hammer on about 'invite your friends', download a poster, and 'download a petition form and get others to Sign On' because this is how we're building the numbers. Since everyone knows someone else, they can help bring more people on board. Every Sign On increases the pressure on the Government to listen to the people and do the right thing.

So thanks for being part of this great campaign - let's do this, and get our Government to put the climate first and Sign On to 40%.
