Industrial Dairy Climate Crimes

Over time, New Zealand's dairy sector has shifted from traditional pasture farming to a far more intensive, corporate industrial model.

It's a new way of farming - pushed by Fonterrra - that is having a huge impact on the environment, rapidly increasing greenhouse gas emissions, eroding the clean and green brand on which New Zealand agriculture is built, and lowering economic returns to farmers.

Fighting Fonterra Climate Crimes This morning a team of Greenpeace activists blocked the supply of coal to the boilers of Fonterra's Clandeboye milk drying plant in Canterbury effectively halting another Fonterra climate crime.
