Handy-person for building maintenance and other odd jobs

We are looking for someone to help with a variety of ‘fixing and repairing and improvement’ task around the office. We moved office last year and there are a number of jobs that need doing to perfect the new building and keep it in good running order.

DIVISION:              ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT    

LOCATION:              Auckland     

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Organisational manager

Overview of role

A variety of 'fixing & repairing & improvement' task around the office.

Key Tasks

In order to develop and maintain the Greenpeace head office the volunteer will be tasked with jobs that might include:

Checking whether office furniture can be repaired (chairs, desks drawers)

  • Lights not working
  • Floors in bathroom re-surfacing
  • Some paintwork
  • Fixing fittings to doors & windows (e.g. automatic closing for bathroom doors)
  • And no doubt many many more

Hours and times involved:

Probably once a month for ½ day or day - this can be flexible and a task list can be confirmed prior to the person coming in.

Skills and experience needed:

'Handiperson' skills and experience including use of power tools

Auckland office, 11 Akiraho Street, Mt Eden.
