Auckland, New Zealand — The Department of Conservation (DOC) has set its hearing date to hear submissions on Mighty River's plans to put a dirty-great coal conveyor belt across conservation land.

DOC gave the proposal the go ahead last year. If you put in a submission against the plan, then thank you! and if you asked to speak at the hearing you will receive a letter from DOC letting you know when you are due to be heard.

Either:
  1. Attend and speak yourself (remembering that you can only talk about the points you made in your submission);
  2. Or, let us know and we can speak on your behalf.

Make your voice heard.
