Greenpeace Romania is currently looking for a freelance communication professional, to temporarily boost its press work capacity in the Bucharest office.
Job description:
- Write compelling, creative content for campaign and organisational materials, as well as for online content.
- Write press releases, media briefings and online articles and effectively manage output.
- Oversee the production and distribution of video and photo content. Provide clear briefs to and manage contacts to photographers, videographers etc
- Inputing innovative communication opportunities for Greenpeace campaigns
- Liaising with media, bloggers and commentators to boost campaign and organisational visibility
- Occasionally provide social media content
The profile we are looking for:
- University degree in journalism, communication, public relations or similar
- A minimum of 2 years work experience in a communications background;
- Excellent spoken and written language skills in both Romanian and English
- General knowledge of environmental politics and a clear understanding of the roles that science, politics, economics, industry and media play in campaigning.
- Understanding of the media advocacy needs of a campaigning organisation (NGO background is an advantage)
- Awareness and knowledge of Romanian media landscape
- Computer literacy: MS office; knowledge and/or experience in graphic design and production of visual materials is an advantage
- A team player that is able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
