Governor of St.Petersburg feels afraid of allowing Greenpeace to city’s wastewater treatment plants

Today Greenpeace got a refusal from St. Petersburg’s City Administration to make an independent research of the wastewaters discharged into Gulf of Finland by the local’s waste water treatment plants.

6 th of October 2009 St. Petersburg Today Greenpeace sent request for environmental information disclosure to all enterprises uses Neva river and its tributaries for wastewater discharge.

Yesterday discovered big discharges of oil in Neva River in St. Petersburg’s very center

Yesterday Greenpeace Water Patrol found and registered 3 illegal discharges to St. Petersburg rivers. The biggest was found in Neva River, close to the bridge “Liteyny”.
