Authorities are trying to stop environmental activists by sending them to jail!

The police in Krasnodar region have begun the persecution of Eugene Vitishko and Suren Ghazaryan — members of the Environmental Watch organisation of North Caucasus. The problem was the ill-fated "Tkachev´s cottage". Activists have repeatedly informed the prosecutor about the illegal seizure of land for this project, but as a result — have themselves become subject to pressure from the authorities. If the leadership of the Krasnodar region gets its way, Eugene and Suren face five years in prison.

The Director of Greenpeace Russia will deliver your signature on March 15th in Samara.

In our opinion, Dmitry Medvedev must initiate a real investigation into the violations of environmental law in the Krasnodar region, and stop the illegal persecution of environmental activists.

Greenpeace Executive Director Sergei Tsyplenkov invited Suren Ghazaryan to attend a meeting with Dmitry Medvedev, to be held March 15th at the President's Council on Human Rights. However, the disgraced Presidential administration wiped the activist from the list!

Now it is important to show that Suren and Eugene are not alone and their actions reflect the opinions of many citizens. Fighting for your rights cannot be punished with prison!
