The purpose of this list if to help you understand types of activities available and chose most suitable for you. Please, keep in mind that this list is far from complete! What if you found nothing suitable for you and you have your own ideas and proposals – we will be just happy. Please, call and write. We will be grateful for all kinds of help and support.

| Seeds are needed for “Let’s restore our forest” project to found school nursery forests. As seeds of different types of trees get mature and fall down in different time seeds collection takes place from May till February.

| Volunteers restore forests in Moscow and Leningrad regions. Main planting season – spring and autumn. Requirements to volunteer: * not younger than 16 y.o., * experience in hiking * own hiking equipment. | ||
| Garbage collection in forest parks, nature territories, cleaning of open water reservoirs in Moscow and St.Petersburg, Moscow and Leningrad regions. All garbage collected first gets sorted (glass, paper, carton, polyethylene, rags and so on) and then goes for recycling. Period: from spring till autumn. | ||
| Together with schoolchildren from different regions of Russia volunteers take part in trees planting camps on grounds which are low-grade, not suitable for agriculture. Requirements to volunteer: * not younger than 18 y.o. * able to get along with children and work in the field | ||
| Taking part in mobile fire-fighting group. Most of people work to prevent and extinguish grass fires on the territory of natural reserve “Zuravlinaya rodina” (“Fatherland of crane”) – in Taldom district of Moscow region. Requirements to volunteer: Not younger than 18 y.o. | ||
| Volunteers collect information about environmental law violations, draw up reports and send them to respective institutions for follow up. In Greenpeace special training program is designed for public inspectors. Inspections can be on foot (with elements of autostop) or on bikes. Trips take place during weekends and sometimes during working days. | ||
| Volunteers take part in protest actions. Protest actions are one of the most important instruments of Greenpeace operations. During these actions one very important rule is always respected – they are to be nonviolent. Requirements to volunteer: Not younger than 18 y.o. | ||
| Greenpeace volunteers give lectures and seminars at schools of Moscow and St.Petersburg talking about conditions of environment and Greenpeace activities. | ||
| Key objectives of information tables: * popularization of environment and health consciousness, * collection of signatures, * new supporters recruitment. |

| Translation of texts from foreign languages | Texts – different level of complexity, in English, German and other languages. Requirements to volunteer: * fluency in written foreign language * experience in translation work. |
