6 th of October 2009 St. Petersburg Today Greenpeace sent request for environmental information disclosure to all enterprises uses Neva river and its tributaries for wastewater discharge.

Several oil leacks heve been discovered yesterday in the center of St. Petersburg

Yesterday Greenpeace Water Patrol found and registered 3 illegal discharges to St. Petersburg rivers. The biggest was found in Neva River, close to the bridge “Liteyny”.

Greenpeace annual Neva river water patrol starts Wednesday

For the next few months the specially equipped Greenpeace inflatable will be patrolling Neva river and its tributaries several times a week to control water quality and search for accidental discharges and spills.

Greenpeace activists charged with “theft” of whale meat – without substance!

Greenpeace of Russia requests Japanese authorities to withdraw a non-substantial prosecution of two Japanese Greenpeace employees charged with “theft” of whale meat. The request from Greenpeace Russia was personally transferred to a representative of the Japanese Embassy last week.
