Greenpeace organized the free screening of the movie to encourage as many policy and decision makers, members of the press, to take part in the important conversation about climate change and help shape the kind of interventions now needed, both at the individual and political levels, to help avert this global catastrophe.

And popular TV host Juddha Paolo, also a committed Greenpeace supporter, greeted and interviewed guests at the theater's entrance.
Joining them during the screening were fellow celebrities award-winning actor Christopher de Leon, top actor-model Diether Ocampo, and acclaimed mountaineer Romy Garduce. Also present were environment champions from Congress Representatives Neric Acosta, Rissa Hontiveros-Baracquel, and Etta Rosales, as well as prominent Puerto Princessa Mayor and anti-logging advocate Edward Hagedorn.
The screening was held at Megacinema 10 at the SM Megamall last night, where guests milled around an engaging exhibit outside the theater. The exhibit, which can be viewed in all An Inconvenient Truth screenings in SM malls, featured more information about the changes the earth has undergone in the last 10-15 years with graphic images that vividly depict the harsh truth that we have to face. Ultimately, Greenpeace hopes this screening and their accompanying exhibits will serve to further fuel the important conversation about climate change and help shape the kind of interventions now needed, both at the individual and political levels, to help avert this global catastrophe. The 'green' carpet screening of An Inconvenient Truth is part of the Greenpeace Climate and Energy Campaign which stresses the urgency of addressing climate change and switching from the use of dirty energy sources to renewable energy, a cleaner alternative for the earth. This campaign demands that each Filipino take a proactive role in battling climate change by embracing tangible and sustainable solutions such as energy efficiency, and by tapping renewable energy sources such as solar power, wind power, and modern biomass.
