Bangkok, THAILAND —
Greenpeace, in partnership with local groups of Bo Nok and Ban Krut, today announced an initiative to support the construction of a community learning center in honor of Charoen, a local activist shot dead last year.
The center is envisioned to be a hub for communities and NGO's in
Thailand to continuously exchange views and experiences on clean energy
issues and anti-coal campaigning.
The Charoen community center is a work in progress. We need your
support in making this happen. Let's help empower local
communities who have chosen to embrace clean energy and reject
coal. For donations and more info contact the Alternative Energy
Project for Sustainability.
