Greenpeace activists and local volunteers attempt to halt drainage by 
constructing dams on the peatland canals as part of their "Climate 
Defender Camp" at Kampar Peninsula, Teluk meranti village, Riau 
province,Indonesia on Wednesday 28 October 2009. The Camp was built to 
bring urgent attention to the role that deforestation plays in driving 
dangerous climate change, a critical issue to be addressed at the UN 
Copenhagen Climate Summit in December.
