Greenpeace did a tour around South East Asia to promote clean energy. During this tour Greenpeace campaigners on board of the ship MV Arctic Sunrise paid tribute to the revolutionary history of Negros as the ship arrived in Bacolod City to launch the Renewable Revolution. Greenpeace activists also hung a banner reading: "Plug into Clean Energy Now!" on the Board of Investments of the Department of Trade and Industry building in downtown Manila. Activists also gathered signatures on a petition for renewable energy. Greenpeace activists also targeted the unloading of coal at the Philippines biggest coal-fired power station, Sual, in the province of Pangasinan.
