Since 2004, the Governments of Japan and Thailand have been formally negotiating a free trade agreement, officially called Japan-Thailand Economic Partnership Agreement or JTEPA. The agreement seeks to eliminate tariff on unprecedented list of Japanese hazardous waste for export to Thailand.
