Climate Rescue Station

As a part of the TckTckTck campaign which is a global movement for a unified voice against climate change, the Solar Generation from all Thailand’s regions built “Climate Rescue Station” at Kangkrajarn Riverside scout camp. The participated students learned how to build an environmentally-friendly house (soil house) and how to produce renewable energies such as solar and wind.

Training the Solar Generation Trainers

On 28-31 July 2009, Solar Generation with Arun Wittaya School's Student Council and Academic Department of Thab Sakae Conservation Group organized a training for Solar Generation leaders.

Green DJ’s to broadcast from Thailand On Air : Greenpeace

Thailand On Air and Solar Generation, the youth group of Greenpeace today launched Green DJ project which aims to provide aspiring youth the skills of radio broadcasting of environmental information.

Anti-Nuclear Concert and Exhibition

Makamtao subdistrict of Chainat province was chosen as one of the 14 areas suitable for building a nuclear power plant under Thailand's Power Development Plan. Therefore, Greenpeace Southeast Asia and Solar Generation were invited by Chao Phraya-Tajeen Motherland Conservation Group to provide knowledge about the impacts of nuclear power plants and to hold an exhibition of Chernobyl impacts and climate change impacts in an anti-nuclear concert by Caravan band at Wat Sing school on 14 June.

Solar Generation at Energy Fair

Greenpeace with the Southern Non-Governmental Organization network organized Southern Energy Fair at Thaksin University in Pattalung province.

Photography Workshop

Solar Generation attended a workshop on photography. The objective is to build a capacity to the youth on how to take news photograph, especially for Greenpeace’s campaigns in order to better communicate environmental campaigns to the public.

Greenpeace SEA Thailand’s Solar Generation co-organized “Love the Earth Save the Earth” activity as a part of Earth Day at Ekkamai International School.

Greenpeace promotes love for environment on Children's Day

Greenpeace's Solar Generation and Jitasa joined 2009 Children's Day activity at the Thai Government House. They provided knowledge about global warming's impacts and simple ways to stop it and demonstrated solar cell equipment which can be used with small electrical appliances.

People across the world took to the streets for a Global Day of Action on Saturday, to tell the governments meeting in Poznan, Poland for crucial UN climate negotiations, that the world is watching them.

Solar Gen from Damrongraj School Held "Training the Trainer"

Greenpeace’s Solar Generation from Damrongraj Songkro school, Chiangrai province organized a group leadership training or “Training the Trainer” to encourage the members of the school’s Solar Generation group to be learn about their work and to be able to disseminate firsthand information about climate change and energy to the school’s students and people in neighbouring communities.
