A greener earth for Angel

Famous actress, model, and mother Angel Aquino simply does not have time to rest. Amidst her busy work and family schedule, she has chosen to give back to Mother Earth by selflessly volunteering for Greenpeace. Here is a woman who truly believes that we cannot go on consuming more of the earth's precious resources without consequences. She also wants everyone to realize that we have the power to change this and that now is the time to act.

Sailing the high seas, and dancing for clean energy.

The Bacolod and Iloilo leg of the Philippine leg of the Asia Energy Revolution was a blast as Ala Paredes joined the crew onboard the Rainbow Warrior. Saving the planet is as much fun as saying "barnacles" ala-Mr. Crabs of Spongebob Squarepants fame. We're fortunate to have a glimpse of Ala's story in a blogumentary she wrote while sailing onboard the ship. It's an excellent account of her six days as a volunteer. We won't give you all the details, of course but we've published some extracts below. Young filmmakers communicate need to take action against global warming

The country’s top young filmmakers and cinematographers agree that the time to take action to save the climate is now and have collaborated with Greenpeace to produce short TV spots highlighting the need for a shift to clean energy sources to avert the devastating effects of global warming.
