Popular rock band Twisted Halo with lead singer Vin Dancel showed their commitment to stop climate change by personally going around Gweilo’s last month asking for the audiences’ signatures to support Greenpeace’s demand for the Department of Energy to implement a clean energy target – by the year 2010, 10 percent of the energy needs of the Philippines must
come from wind, solar, and biomass power.
Donning a Greenpeace shirt, the rock
star gave an empowering speech before the gig in the jam-packed bar,
bringing the issue of global warming to his fans and peers which
resulted in a 100% sign-up. His continuous efforts to increase people’s
awareness regarding climate change highlights possibilities of what
individuals can do to mitigate the biggest environmental problem facing
the planet today.
Twisted Halo, known for their uncompromising brand of rock music, is
composed of Vin Dancel on vocals/guitar, Jason Caballa on
guitar/vocals, Joey Odulio on guitar, Buddy Zabala on bassand Monmon
Lopez on drums.
