Forest Village in Riau

Indonesian Forest Minister Zulkifli Hasan (middle) shakes hand with Jasman Head of Serapung Village (left) and Ridwan Head of Segamai Village during his visit at Segamai-Serapung's Village Forest in Riau Province, Indonesia, on Monday (29/7).  The village forest of Segamai and Serapung are the first intact forest in Riau Province, with an area 4.000 hectares, that won recognition from Indonesian Government as protected forest and will be managed using local wisdoms for the people prosperity.
