A Greenpeace paramotor (a powered paraglider) surveys drought-affected rice fields in Pampanga. The Greenpeace Water Watch project moved from its fixed camp in Angat Dam on April 19 to a mobile station that travelled across Central and Northern Luzon to survey damage brought on by the ongoing drought. Angat Dam, which breached its critical level on April 13, has ceased supplying irrigation to farms in Bulacan and Pampanga, a situation also faced by other provinces relying on similarly depleted reservoirs. Farmers across the country are among the most affected by extreme weather brought about by climate change.
