Greenpeace files writ of kalikasan asking SC to stop GMO talong field trials

Greenpeace activists dress up as GMO monster crops together with petitioners from different organizations and local government units march to the Supreme Court today April 26, 2012 to file a petition that will put a halt on Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) field trials in the Philippines.The petition seeks a temporary environmental protection order (TEPO) against the multi-location field trials of the Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) talong. Greenpeace is campaigning for GMO-free food production based on the principles of sustainability, protection of biodiversity and providing all people to have access to safe and nutritious food.
