Mandala in Quezon City: The Philippines' largest food art

Environmental activists, health advocates, organic consumers and traders and policy makers celebrate Philippines' rich and diverse agricultural heritage by forming a food art installation made out of 1,700 kilograms of ecologically produced fruits and vegetables at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on October 18, 2014. The food mandala, Sanskrit word for circle, harmony, balance and unity, also dramatized the call for the agriculture department to promote ecological agriculture instead of risky Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).
