Pedal Power for Clean Power

Save Davao Gulf Coalition, an alliance of Mindanao-based and national environmental groups convened by Greenpeace, conducted a Bike Ride event dubbed as “Pedal Power for Clean Power.”

This activity was a part of the coalition’s efforts to highlight the threats and issues faced by the marine environment and the diverse communities that depend on the Davao Gulf for livelihood.

The bike ride co-organized by Kinaiyahan Collective, Fight the Unrest on Carbon Kollective, Mumho Riders and supported by Sikad Davao, Cycle for Life, South Davao Mountain Riders, Biketas and Adventure Whore, was also a solidarity event in conjunction with the planned public event of the Philippine Movement for Climate Justice, following the National Peoples’ Conference on Coal and Renewable Energy held last 4-6 August 2014 at the Ateneo de Davao main campus.
