Urban Gardening launched in Las Piñas

Greenpeace joined the launch of an urban gardening project in Las Piñas led by Senator Cynthia Villar on February 4, 2015. The project is intended to inspire urban communities to start organic vegetable gardens in their subdivision or barangay. Villar believes that community gardens would not only provide green spaces in cities, but also promote healthy eating habits and cultivate harmonious relationships among neighbors. Aside from these benefits, urban agriculture can later on be a source of income for communities who practice it.
