Apo Island in the Philippines is one of the world's first marine reserves. This protected area has restored a previously degraded reef and is fully supported by the local fishermen.
Eight Greenpeace teams travelled to well-known remote areas across three continents to collect water and snow samples, and test them for PFCs, the hazardous chemicals used to make outdoor gear waterproof.
