Greenpeace is a global, non-violent campaigning organisation that acts to protect and conserve the environment. Greenpeace in Central and Eastern Europe comprises offices in 8 countries, with Headquarters in Vienna, Austria. For the local office in Slovakia, we are looking for a:


30 hours/week

As the Office manager you are supporting the Office Director in handling, quality control and development of all administrative, financial and human resource related issues around the Slovak office. You should be a person that have sense of costs-effectiveness and is able to ensure that everything in the office works properly (from meeting deadlines up to printing machine maintenance).

Your main tasks and duties:

  • Office Management (office equipment, insurances, visitors welcoming, post boxes administration, phone communication with externals, sharing information in the team, etc.)
  • Implementation of accounting operations (dealing with invoices, cash book, preparation of the documents for our accountant, audits, etc.)
  • Administrative tasks related to human resources
  • Proposal and ongoing controlling of overall budget
    • Responsibility for different e-mail accounts

Required competencies and skills:

  • Education in administration/finance/HR/controlling and/or relevant job experience
  • Fluent Slovak and English both written and spoken
  • Advanced user of MS Word and Excel
  • Accuracy, reliability and detailed oriented skills needed for the administration part of the work
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal and organisational skills to support the day-to-day needs of the office
  • Positive attitude towards the Greenpeace way of work and belief that the environment needs to be protected



20 hours/week

The communications specialist is a skilled writer and creative communicator who is inspired and committed to engaging people and organisations in to Greenpeace’s campaigns. His/Her/Its responsibility is to develop and implement communications projects and strategies that help achieve Greenpeace organisational, campaign and fundraising goals.


Your main tasks and duties:

  • Proactively develop relationships with external communication specialists such as media, commentators, advertising agencies that are strategic to meet campaign or organisational goals; cooperate with external partners (organizations, agencies, celebrities, artists and potential donors)
  • Write press releases, media briefings and online content and effectively manage output
  • Input and champion innovative, creative and new communications opportunities for campaigns and organisation
  • Take part in designing, producing and managing communications output for campaigns and organisational projects implementation
  • Write compelling, creative content for campaign materials, fundraising and organisational materials and for online content
  • Upload content on the website greenpeace.sk (blogs, press releases, job offers, etc.)
  • Take care of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, etc.)
  • Writing newsletters
  • Speaking in the name of the organisation
  • Controlling grammar of all the documents
  • Oversee the production and distribution of video and photo content
  • Provide clear briefs to and manage photographers, videographers, other contractors and volunteers as required
  • Ensure the content reflects the brand, values and tone of the organisation, is in line with communications strategies and reaches the target audiences

10 hours/week

Do you want to help by ecological catastrophes? Are you interested in world of chemicals? Are you in love with arranging different activities and searching for interesting information? Do you like to speak English? If yes, join our team and support it as a toxics campaign assistant.

Your main tasks and duties:

  • You will be the “right hand” of our campaigner
  • Searching for needed information
  • Elaborating different documents
  • Translating from English to Slovak and vice versa
  • Communicating with various stakeholders
  • Arrangement of different activities

 Required competencies and skills:

  • Fluent Slovak and English both written and spoken
  • Advanced user of MS Word and Excel
  • Communication, organizational and arrangement skills
  • Sense for searching for and choosing the relevant and important information

We are offering a part-time positions based in Bratislava with a flexible working time.
