Video Internship (DC)

As an intern with the Greenpeace video department you will be working closely with our producers in every aspect of the video content creation process. This is a hands-on position where you’ll be doing things like filming demonstrations in Washington, DC and editing short videos for social media. You’ll also have the opportunity to produce your own video project on an environmental subject of your choosing under the guidance of our producers. Previous interns have continued to work with Greenpeace as their careers have progressed.

Responsibilities:

• Film protests & demonstrations • Create news clip reels • Create videos for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and SnapChat • Assist producers on larger projects Skills You May Learn or Practice: • Researching & pitching an original video • Using interviews and b-roll to tell a story • Creating titles and text animation • Shooting on various cameras (Sony FS7, Canon C100, Canon 5D mark III) • Lighting & sound recording Requirements: • Basic video shooting & editing skills • Strong communication skills • Passionate about both video and the environment • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
