Position Title: Global Warming InternLocation: Washington DC and San Francisco, CAThe Global Warming intern will play a critical role in the effort to fight global warming by helping to organize the one voice that has not yet been mobilized on the issue: the American public.

Responsibilities: research on chemical security and electronic waste, phone banking membership on legislative issues, assisting in a priority international campaign, and assisting in additional projects as needed.

Intern Position: Oceans Team InternLocation: Washington DCAs Ocean's intern you will be able to be part of innovative outreach and political campaigning to transform the way we manage our oceans and fisheries.
Responsibilities: internet research, assisting in team meetings, working full steam on U.S. and international oceans issues, from ending whaling to establishing new marine reserves. An interest in submersibles, community outreach, Alaska Native culture and history, GP ships, corals and sponges, and flogging regulators and policy makers will help make this position extremely fulfilling.

Intern Position: Forest Team InternLocation: San FranciscoThe Forest Team is working on two priority campaigns to protect our
ancient forests. Kleercut is a campaign to stop Kimberly-Clark, the
makers of Kleenex brand tissue from turning the ancient Boreal Forest of
North America into products we use once and throw away. The campaign is also partnering with the music industry to protect threatened forest habitats and safeguard the future of the trees critical to making musical instruments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to research on corporations or policies, outreach to coalitions, activists and large customers as well as some administrative assistance.

Position: Africa Forest Campaign InternLocation: Washington DCYou will be part of our exciting political and outreach campaign to save the rainforests of the Congo from destructive industrial logging by international companies.
Responsibilities: Include, but not limited to research, networking, outreach, organization, briefings, administrational support, media work, event facilitation.

The ideal candidate brings knowledge/experience in environment and development issues in Sub-Saharan Africa, an understanding of World Bank and other international development finance, and/or knowledge about tropical rainforests and the links between deforestation and climate change.
