What's the Solution?

A growing coalition of organizations, companies and individuals are asking Kimberly-Clark to:

  • Stop purchasing wood fiber from endangered forests.
  • Dramatically increase the recycled content of their products, including Kleenex tissues.
  • Only buy virgin fiber that is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified.

Better Business

As the world’s largest tissue manufacturer, Kimberly-Clark has the resources to do better.  In fact, other companies already offer forest friendly tissue products in stores across the world.

Responsible companies avoid buying fiber from endangered forests, use high levels of post-consumer recycled content, and buy Forest Stewardship Council certified fiber. Their products, which are of comparable quality and price to the unsustainable brands peddled by Kimberly-Clark, are skyrocketing in popularity.

As customers like you ask for environmentally responsible tissue products, companies like Kimberly-Clark will have to change their ways. For a listing of forest friendly tissue products, look here.
