The Facilities Team is dedicated to creating space for all Greenpeace activists to work and thrive under the principles of Greenpeace, which include environmental and social justice. The Facilities Assistant Intern works with the Facilities Team to coordinate building management and facilities-related issues, as well as vendor relations and hospitality.
This internship is a great opportunity for someone looking to break into non-profit administration or office management.
Responsibilities:
- Receptionist duties, including signing for packages and delivering them staff, admitting and welcoming visitors, keeping the front desk area clean, and answering in-coming phone calls
- Office up-keep, including tidying the conference rooms, bathrooms, and the kitchen, refilling conference room items, emptying out the compost bins, cleaning out the fridge, and refilling bathroom tissues and towels
- Other various administrative tasks

Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- The ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person
- A can-do attitude when it comes to doing things that may not be so glamorous

- Confidence and humor
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt accordingly
- Problem-solving skills
- Organizational skill
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be punctual
