Washington, DC

Spend the semester working on some of the planet’s biggest challenges with the world’s best-known environmental activist organization!

Greenpeace’s Field Team is composed of 12 organizers working to win Greenpeace campaigns in communities across America. Right now, our team’s number one priority is shutting down coal fired power plants throughout the country. During your internship, you will support organizers’ work by coordinating materials, travel, logistics, conducting research, planning events and trainings, and helping to coordinate local organizing efforts. In the past, Field Team Administrative staff and interns have driven the Rolling Sunlight (our biodiesel truck, carrying a huge array of solar panels) up the eastern seaboard, hung out on the MY Arctic Sunrise for our 2011 Quit Coal Ship Tour, attended climbing and boating trainings, and booked travel and hotel reservations for the entire team (hey, it can’t all be glamorous).

  • Logistical planning for team events

  • Managing team materials (tracking, inventory, shipping, etc)
