Student Network Quit Coal Internship

The Student Network Quit Coal intern will support development and implementation of our college campus Quit Coal campaign, network with students and coalition partners fighting coal, manage pieces of our Network communications strategy, engage and mobilize Student Network activists, develop campaign materials, and work closely with Student Network staff.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Campaign development and implementation
  • Direct activist engagement
  • Networking with coal activists nationwide
  • Assisting with trainings for student activists
  • Online social network management
  • Research
  • Writing and editing campaign materials
  • Writing blog entries
  • Assisting with event planning
  • Administrative support

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Commitment to non-violence as a means of affecting change
  • Commitment to protecting the planet and building a green and peaceful future
