The main activity that I do in my life to help stop global warming is my job. I work in the construction of utility scale Wind Turbine Tower foundations. I've been doing this since February 2001 when I worked on my first wind project, it was the Stateline Wind Project in southeast Washington state. The project was the largest wind energy project in the world at the time. I've since become very passionate about developing our wind resources. At present I'm putting together a small company with some of the people I've worked with since the Stateline project, to contract and build wind tower foundations. We're getting close to realizing our dream, we just need to secure the initial start up monies and we'll be bidding on projects. I'm also talking with some people here in west Washington that want to develop our local wind resources, with all profits generated going directly into the local community services organizations. Something I think should be done on a national scale!
