I was born in 1977 and during my younger years I used to mark rainy seasons and dry seasons.Having been born into a peasantry family, I quickly learned that agriculture depended on nature. Farmers had to wait for rain to sow their crops and - amazingly - it rained in the period anticipated by the farmers. Unfortunately, today it rains when it is not expected and when it is expected it does not rain in Uganda. This partly explains why there is persistent food shortage in some parts of the country. A major cause of the problem is the unplanned urbanization that ushers in a high demand for biogas energy.
