All my life I've vacationed on the Jersey Shore. My family has a house on Long Beach Island and I look forward to the two weeks we spend there every August.  My early memories are full of fun times: ice cream, boogie boards, barbecues and miniature golf.  I remember a long expanse of beach where my family and I could stretch out, talk and relax.

It seems every year I go back, there's a little less beach.  Now, families are one on top of the other and you can hear everyone else's conversations.  Sometimes, when the tide comes in, we're chased off the beach because there isn't enough room to sit.

I know beach erosion isn't the most talked about impact of global warming, but it's just as important as the others and it's impacting my life.  When I have kids, I'd like to take them to LBI for our family vacations, but I'm worried there won't be any beach left by then.
