Washington DC, United States — Forging relationships with groups and individuals is vital to the work we do to protect the planet. One of the team efforts we are most proud of is our recent collaboration with the Aveda Corporation. We've teamed up to protect you and your family from mercury pollution.

As a part of the Greenpeace National Mercury Testing Program, we are working together with select Aveda salons to provide 1,000 free mercury tests to selected Aveda Institute customers.

By offering a small lock of hair taken while getting a haircut, an Aveda client can get an indication of the mercury level in their body and provide this information to our national study.

Stylists will educate clients about the need for America to switch from polluting fossil fuels, which cause mercury pollution, to healthier, renewable energy, like wind and solar.

Aveda and Greenpeace share a common mission of caring for the world we live in. We believe that clean, renewable energy, energy conservation and energy efficiency are the best and only solutions to meet the challenges of mercury contamination, air pollution, and climate change, all the results of fossil fuels.

Join Greenpeace and Aveda in protecting health and bringing clean energy now for the world.
