Friday March 24 marks the 17th anniversary of the Exxon Valdez spill. Join us in commemorating this environmental travesty by calling Exxon and telling it to pay what it owes to the victims.

Dial 1-972-444-1000

Sample message:
Hi. My name is [Your Name] from [City, State]. I am calling the executive offices to commemorate the victims of Exxon Valdez oil spill and to personally ask Mr. Rex Tillerson and the other executives to please stop fighting the jury’s 1994 verdict, pay the $4.5 billion owed to the victims, and put a rest to this horrible tragedy.

[WHEN TRANSFERRED LEAVE THE SAME MESSAGE AND INCLUDE:]

I would appreciate a response from the company to my request. You can reach me at [Your Telephone].

SHAREHOLDERS: If you are a shareholder please say so on your call.

Questions

Is there an 800 number I could call instead?
The only 800 number is for shareholders and it’s automated. We realize it’s a long distance call, but your donation of the $.50 or so for the call shows your solidarity with the victims of the spill and allows you to personally express your feelings about the company’s behavior.

Will my phone call make a difference?
Yes! The coordination of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of calls will show executives that the Exxon Valdez oil spill is NOT forgotten and that it is not just the people of Alaska that are watching and judging the actions of Exxon Mobil’s leaders. You can also have some satisfaction knowing that your call and its message is forcing a discussion within the company and may cause a little mayhem with the phone lines on this important day.

Why leave my phone number?
By leaving your phone number you force the company to decide how best to handle your call – to respond or not respond. Without a phone number, they do not have to have that conversation.
