The UK government is proposing to build a new nuclear weapon. Building a new bomb is illegal and immoral and it is time the government listened to reason. That's why a 50-strong choir called 'Sense of Sound' will perform a piece composed by Damon Albarn on board the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise moored next to London's Tower Bridge this evening.

Entitled "5 Minutes to Midnight" the performance will represent a peaceful demonstration against renewing the UK nuclear weapons system Trident, and against Britain possessing nuclear weapons. Directed by Hannah Eidinow with visuals designed by Robert del Naja of Massive Attack, and contributions from Brian Eno, "5 Minutes to Midnight" will be broadcast live online at from this site starting at 6:30pm GMT and available for 24 hours following the event.
