Washington, DC, United States — Protestors quarantined a farm where open-air tests of GE wheat are set to take place in 2003.

5 June 2003 - Morden, Manitoba, Canada: Greenpeace protester  Genevieve Marion-Seguin chained to the gates of the Agriculture and Agri-food Canada (AAFC) Research Farm in Morden, Manitoba. The AAFC farm at Morden is one of the sites where open air field trials of genetically engineered wheat will take place in 2003. The Canadian Wheat Board estimates that up to 80 per cent of Canada's $3 billion wheat market will not purchase genetically engineered wheat.
