International — This summer, we are in the Arctic to highlight the global warming crisis. "Project Thin Ice 2005" began when we sent Arctic explorers Lonnie Dupre and Eric Larsen to the polar ice cap to collect invaluable global warming data. This July, our ship, the Arctic Sunrise, is headed to Greenland and will visit research stations and work with scientists to study the evidence of global warming impacts in the Arctic.

You can do your part to stop global warming, without traveling to the ice floes of the Arctic!  Every day, people are making changes in their lives to combat climate change and live a “greener” life.  They are kicking their addiction to fossil fuels, and moving toward clean, renewable energy sources.  And despite what the ExxonMobil-funded skeptics say, ordinary citizens are noticing the effects of global warming in their lives, and we’ve got the testimonials to prove it!

For each day of our Project Thin Ice 2005 experience, we will highlight the story of one of our supporters whose life has been affected by global warming.

If you would like to share your experiences with us, you may submit an entry here.
