Washington DC, United States

“President Bush's speech today demonstrates once again his do-nothing approach to global warming.  He offered no new policies that would commit the U.S. to binding emissions reductions.  His statement reflects how he has worked his entire presidency to undermine the international effort to stop global warming.

“His position is the same as that of the oil industry, and he has set up this fraudulent process to claim progress when it is designed to prevent it. The American people understand that his position is a lie and people across the world need to know that the American people no longer believe their president on global warming.”
