It does not make sense to make disposable tissues from ancient forests - better options already exist. Forest friendly products are sold in stores throughout the US and you have the power to choose!

Vote for forest conservation with your dollars -- use the Greenpeace tissue guide to make smart choices and grow the demand for forest friendly products!

Save forests in three simple steps:

1. Replace Kleenex in your home, office and/or classroom with green alternatives. For more information please take a look at the Kleenex Free Schools Project.

2. Buy paper products high in recycled content. Quality recycled tissue products are comparable in feel and price. Look for products that state their post-consumer recycled content and vote with your dollars for forest conservation. You can download the most recent version of the Tissue Guide below.

3. Tell tissue makers to stop using virgin wood for throwaway products. If the brand you buy doesn't have recycled content, contact the manufacturer. Tell the company to use more recycled fiber, to avoid wood from endangered forests such as the Boreal, and to use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood for virgin fiber they need.
