The Brazilian Amazon is threatened by illegal and predatory logging. Communities are being displaced, activists killed, and vulnerable species are losing their habitat.

Greenpeaces recent investigationtracks the pervasive fraud that permits the predatory logging. We’ve also found that importers of Amazon timber in the U.S. are part of the problem. Lumber Liquidators, for instance, is a major culprit. To read more about it, see Greenpeace forest campaigner Daniel Brindis’ post from last week.

For now, we’ll let French actress Marion Cotillard describe the issue for you. Watch this gorgeous animation, and then tell Lumber Liquidators to quit buying lumber linked to Amazon destruction!
