We may also maintain records with details of individuals who contact us for (further) information or for help, in case we need to contact them later on or provide further information to them in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>By clicking to submit on a petition or form, you agree to Greenpeace Africa using the information you provide to keep you updated via email, mail, telephone, WhatsApp, text and social media about our campaigns and the ways you can help and get involved.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We show social networking sharing buttons and widgets from Meta, Google, X (formerly known as Twitter) on our website to enable you to easily share Greenpeace campaigns and news with friends. These social networking sharing buttons and widgets come from web servers which may track your behaviour on our website and may combine this with other information about you originating from other websites. You can install a browser add-on like \u201cDisconnect\u201d for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/jeoacafpbcihiomhlakheieifhpjdfeo?hc=search&amp;hcp=main\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chrome<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/user\/6016894\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Firefox<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to disable them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also gather information automatically about website visitors to help us maintain and improve the design of our website. We use web analysis tools like Google Analytics and Mixpanel to gather this data and analyse it. We have offices and projects in countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, and others. If you subscribe to our mailing list on this website and there is a Greenpeace office in your country, we may share your contact details with them to provide you with the most suitable newsletter and urgent alerts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To ensure compliance with local laws, we adhere to the data protection regulations of African countries where we operate, such as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa.
