We believe that a better world is not only possible, but that it\u2019s already beginning. Thanks to thousands of committed individuals around the world, a greener and more peaceful future is in our sights.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Our mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Greenpeace is an independent campaigning organisation, which uses non-violent, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems, and to force the solutions which are essential to a green and peaceful future. Greenpeace\u2019s goal is to ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity.<\/p>\n\n

Therefore Greenpeace seeks to:<\/p>\n\n

  • protect biodiversity in all its forms<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • prevent pollution and abuse of the Earth\u2019s ocean, land, air and fresh water<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • end all nuclear threats, promote peace, global disarmament and non-violence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    Our core values<\/h2>\n\n

    Personal responsibility and nonviolence.<\/strong> We take action based on conscience. This means we are accountable for our actions and take personal responsibility. We are committed to peacefulness; everyone on a Greenpeace action is trained in nonviolence.<\/p>\n\n

    Independence.<\/strong> We do not accept money from governments, corporations or political parties. Individual contributions, together with grants from foundations, are the only source of our funding.<\/p>\n\n

    Greenpeace has no permanent friends or foes.<\/strong> If your government or company is willing to change, we will work with you to achieve your aims. Reverse course, and we will be back. What matters isn\u2019t words, but actions.<\/p>\n\n

    Promoting solutions.<\/strong> It\u2019s not enough for us to point the finger; we develop, research and promote concrete steps towards a green and peaceful future for all of us.<\/p>\n\n
