Agriculture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In September 2025, a nitrate emergency<\/strong> was declared in Canterbury, as nitrate levels in rural drinking water worsens. It\u2019s the first step for greater fresh water protections from dairy pollution.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Seabed mining<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Trans-Tasman Resources has tried to mine the seabed in the South Taranaki Bight for over 12 years, but fierce opposition has stopped them at every turn \u2013 including their recently-rejected Fast-Track application<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Greenpeace is comprised of dozens of independent national or regional organisations in over 55 countries<\/strong> across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Pacific, as well as a co-ordinating body, Greenpeace International. And around the world, there are millions of supporters like you<\/strong>, who have a vision of a green and peaceful future.<\/p>\n\n
