Brazil, Stop the Chainsaws!

Greenpeace activists project a message onto a building near the UN Climate negotiations in Durban.

The projection was to send a message to Brazil, calling on President Dilma to 'Stop the chainsaws' and veto a new forest code that would open up vast new areas of the Amazon to logging. Right now the Brazilian Senate is voting on that Forest Code, a disaster for the Amazon should it be passed.

The new Forest Code threatens to turn back the clock on progress already made on climate and forests protection in Brazil. Greenpeace is calling on President Dilma to keep her commitments and veto the new Forest Code.
